It was Nine Below Zero this morning! When it gets this cold, I always start wondering why we haven’t moved to a warmer climate, and then I start wondering where we should be living. San Francisco, outrageous housing prices notwithstanding, is always appealing to me. Great weather: I love the idea of a cold August and a warm October. Plus, it’s home to so many wonderfully creative people and unique shops. Miette Patisserie would be one of my favorites for sure. The patisserie is located in the Ferry Building Marketplace – their list of cakes sounds fabulous and looks, well, perfect! To top it off, Miette recently opened a Confiserie in the Hayes Valley. The picture above is from the confiserie – doesn’t it look enticing? I could spend a lot of time at that shop picking out my favorite sweets. Best of all, there is a shop-by-mail feature at Miette’s website, where you can order macarons, cookies, candy, and more! So you don’t have to relocate to enjoy Miette. (I still need to escape this weather, though, and soon ….)
And by the way, Prince rocked the Superbowl halftime show! I need to go to Las Vegas to see it show. It would be warm!
