I am in love, love, LOVE with the new kate spade “behind the curtain” site. (the clocks keeping time for New York, Paris, and Kansas City are fab!) My favorite feature is “things we love” – not only are there fun things to click on and discover, but you can submit something that you love, and perhaps it will make it onto the site! Hmmmm, what thing that I love should I submit? I’ll have to ponder that today. Something about kate spade’s marketing really appeals to me – I got sucked in way back when Laura Stoddart was their paper goods illustrator. I still have the most charming catalog for kate spade paper chock-full of her illustrations. It was more like a very cute and small book than catalog to me! I also have the kate spade playing cards that she designed: got them out to play Solitaire last night – the site must have inspired me to dig them out. Check out kate spade’s studio site here.
