It’s going to be a big Christmas for Beatrix Potter.  The movie, Miss Potter, starring Renee Zellweger, opens on December 29.  And of course, this means one thing: product tie-ins are starting to show up in stores.  Two books are calling to me:  Beatrix Potter: A Journal (which is geared to age 6 and up – I’m covered!).  It is full of illustrations, but more important, cute little envelopes that open, and other fun ephemera.  The second book is Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature – a nearly 600 page story of her life, including previously unreleased illustrations.  Haven’t seen the second book yet, but the first is enchanting!  I’m trying not to buy stuff right now.  It’s so hard!  Hope that the movie gets good reviews.  I’ve added it to my list!
