If you’re in or near Calgary today, may I suggest you stop in Uppercase Gallery? Not only will you be able to check out the Old School Exhibit (got the book & love it), but there is a silhouette workshop today at 2 pm. Silhouettes are one of my many obsessions (don’t you love the photos above?) but even cooler is that Uppercase will digitize your creation so you can use it over and over.
Check it out at uppercasegallery.ca.

I would LOVE to learn how to do this!
I do love and have many silhouettes of my family around our house. I give silhouettes to grandparents as gifts. I teach the children in elementary art classes to do them and give as gifts to parents.
I have some smaller ones hung from bedroom and closet doorknobs.
They are easy, striking and pleasing to all senses.
I just jumped over from Martha’s Blog. I wanted to say Hi and nice Blog.
Stop by and visit me sometime…..
