Hello! Happy berry-filled Monday! The photo above is of wild black raspberries that were in my csa box last week. I gave a good friend most of the box while I await full kitchen function, but I had to snag a few of these berries for a taste test, and I’m so glad that I did. They were sweet sweet sweet and delicious. I hope the next box has more …..
Speaking of the kitchen, on Friday and Saturday the backsplash tile went up. After the grout was finished, I spent much of Saturday loading the cabinets while the boys were at soccer. (0-4 record, and rain to boot, so not too bad that I missed it.) It’s almost “all sytems go.” Today should bring drywall repair and painting, and perhaps (?) removal of the masonite. Perhaps.

Sunday was running (5 miles!) and errands and chores day. I was looking for the Bodum Ceylon pitcher to make infused water, and after incredibly frustrating strolls through two big box home stores that I shall not name because I hated the experience, I found it at Target. Of course. Pitcher number one? raspberry/lime. I’m hoping that strawberry/mint will be next.
Then, to cap off the weekend, my husband’s car died on the way home from Target. Something electronic where you can’t drive it over 25 mph without it stalling, but it still had to be towed away. Hopefully, they’ll fix it quickly and get things back to normal, because he works crazy hours and my son has camp all week.
See you tomorrow!
