Hello, Wednesday! Two weeks from today, I will have no kitchen. I’m in total denial about that little fact, so I’m repeating it to myself as often as I can.
My husband has returned from NYC with June Vogue, as well as some treats from Bouchon. I only wish his company’s annual meeting could be the same week as the Stationery Show. Or maybe not. That would be a tall order to fill.
(“Could you just stop by all of the cute booths and report back, please?”)
As for Chicago, I’m excited to learn that Domino magazine is hosting Domino Design District the weekend of June 7 and 8 in Lincoln Park. Over 30 stores are participating, and there will be shopping discounts (!) as well as events. Better yet, as of this writing, there are no soccer games scheduled for that weekend. So I think I’m cleared to attend! Hooray! I’m hoping to pick up a few more decorating ideas as I walk along Armitage. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve never been to Jayson Home & Garden. This could be the weekend to end that drought. And as the kitchen will be torn up, eating out will work for me, too. Keep checking back at the site for more information as it still seems to be in process. See you there!

Oh how I wish I could come back the weekend of June 7 & 8! I hope you’re able to go so I can at least “attend” vicariously through you…
