Today, I thought I’d share my favorite business cards acquired from our recent travels, along with a few thoughts:
- The San Francisco area has some incredibly yummy food options. I’m still thinking about my lunch at Tartine, pot de creme (and cupcakes and candy) from miette, and standing in line for a wonderful lunch from Bouchon Bakery. So what if there was no line at Bouchon a half hour later? (We stood in line at Tartine as well. As far as I’m concerned, a line is a good sign when you’re looking to eat out.)
- I’m still thinking about the Rose & Radish’s felt coasters and placemats. Luckily, they’re available online.
- Sketch Ice Cream could be the cutest ice cream shop ever! I think I met the owners when we visited, and they were so friendly and charming and helpful. (Crossing my fingers that they add a long sleeved tee to their arsenal of merchandise.) Oh, and that’s their ultra-cute dotted business card on the upper right.
- Stem’s card (and shop) were lovely. Wish I could have bought some flowers from them.
- And a quick shout-out to two favorites from the Mission district: The Curiosity Shoppe was so cool (as is their website! yea!), and 826 Valencia was a joy to visit and poke around in. (No card for that one, but you should stop in. Pirate gear galore. Whoever was working on the day we visited – thank you!)
And now, I await the snow. Yes, that’s right. Snow. 6-9 inches. UNCLE!

oh i how i have to visit miette one of these days!
I have to agree that the stem card looks great! Not one of a kind but, hey, simplicity’s beauty, isn’t it? What company’s that black one? It’s probably because of the color but that one really stands out among the rest
hello, business cards. the black card is for fiddlesticks, a children’s clothing store in the hayes valley shopping district. (shopfiddlesticks.com)
i love well-designed business cards as well…being from the bay area, you featured some of my favorite places…miette [amazing pot de cremes, cupcakes, & banana cream tartlettes], tartine [love their fig tart], bouchon [melt in your parisian macarons], walked by sketch this weekend while visiting berkeley, and hoping to make a stop by the curiosity shoppe sometime soon! :)
