It seems to take me six days to “recover” from vacation. And by that I mean get caught up on the laundry, the mail, the cleaning, the stuff that continues to accumulate in your absence. On Sunday I started to feel like cleaning things out. (A sure sign that “I’m back” if ever there was.)
The flowers pictured above were a gift from me to me on Saturday. I stopped in my favorite local florist, hoping to stumble across some silver brunia. I like this combo just as well, although I have no idea what the green berries are. I just know that I like them.
More things I’m liking? I loved Leann(e) Shapton’s illustration for the New York Times T magazine. It immediately brought to mind Subtle Circle, which Shari introduced me to back in December. Still working my way through T, but that was a nice start.
As for the week ahead? More clearing out, I think. It’s fun to accumulate, but it’s freeing to pare back. Before I get too preachy, I must admit I’m also looking forward to hearing about Maria’s new project today. May be an accumulating moment.
Have a great Monday.

Those flowers are gorgeous, especially the little green pod berry things. Hope you had a great Monday too. xo lj
