Hello again! I was reading Emily’s guest blog post about business cards (well, that wasn’t exactly the theme, but it’s what I focused on) because I am geekily in love with cool business cards. My son will even pick them up for me in a shop, restaurant, wherever. It’s cute, especially when we’re somewhere like, I don’t know, the gas station, and he’ll grab the card, hand it to me, and give me that look of “Look what I got! For YOU, crazy woman.”
Anyway, I digress. I ended up fixating on the beautiful Chartreuse flip books from their open house, and remembered how obsessed I was (am) over their business cards. (Both pictured above, courtesy of Laura @ the SCOOP and Chartreuse.) And then the idea hit me: Why are there not packages of cute business cards, a la baseball/football/sports cards? They could be randomly packaged in sets of 10 or so, for sale in stationery shops. You know I’d spring for a pack (or three). Hmmm, let’s take this further: price of $3 or $4? Packaged in a cute glassine envelope with a sticker? Imagine my glee when I ripped open the package and saw “I got a Chartreuse!”For further persuasion, spend some time at Daily Poetics’ Flickr account. (Perhaps a mix of current and vintage?) So, great idea, or crazy?

I think there is potential in this business card swap/set idea… Gracia and I have posted your zine orders and we’ve included our new business card in parcel… hope it brings you a smile
