look 10: editor jacket, vent tee + little dude jean

While I love clicking through photos from fashion show after fashion show (and the commensurate dreaming), in real life I’m usually thinking about ways to edit my wardrobe down to the luxe essentials: pieces I feel comfortable in, yet look pulled together. Susie Crippen (one of the founding partners at J Brand) has been thinking about that, too. After a brief fashion sabbatical, she’s launched Crippen, a line of relaxed, trend free separates that are meant to serve as simple, elegant staples. I think she’s on to something: my only change to the looks shown here (from the fall 2013 collection) would be to swap the heels for flats. Surprise.
