The day without a car passed by surprisingly easily. Morning rain and thunder cleared so I was even able to bike over to “my shop” for a chicken salad sandwich lunch. (I wish they had a website so that I could link you all to the deliciousness.)
The afternoon was spent perusing Elle, which finally arrived in the mailbox. I skipped most of the interviews and focused on fashion. The highlights (for me) were the items pictured above. The dress is Bottega Veneta (“price upon request”: never a good sign) and Lanvin pointy toe pumps with satin trim ($830!). I console myself with the fact that I could not walk in heels that high without breaking my neck. But it sure would be fun to try them on …..

Totally off-topic infused water update. Day number two of raspberry/lime (same fruit) was even better than day number one, because on day two the raspberry flavor was more pronounced. And it all still looks pretty. Oh, I’m loving that purchase! ($19.99: no need for the “upon request”)

hmmm..good info about the pitcher-I would have been concerned if the fruit would look mushy and not pleasing to the eye–good to know!
