We finally made it to Andersonville on Sunday. Don’t know why we waited so long, as it was fun to walk up and down Clark Street, checking out this and that on a warm and sunny summer afternoon. I found the shopkeepers ultra-friendly and easy to talk to (especially at Scout).
Highlights of the day were:
- M.Henry our first stop (actually, our second stop because I thought that Pasticceria Natalina closed at 3. Not so.) We had a late brunch: husband and son had eggs (with yummy potatoes) and I had pancakes with berries and vanilla creme. Cute, sunny space and I eyed the pastry case as we left. Next time ….
- Scout chock full of cool and unique stuff. A feast for the eyes. The shop’s goal is to continually feature new product (every three to four weeks), so it’s a place that requires frequent visits. You could spend a lot of time here just noticing things.
- Coffee Studio okay, so I was sucked in by the ultra-cool signage, but my iced tea was delicious (sweetened with simple syrup). They had some beautiful coffee carafes and other accessories that we drooled over. I also liked that their plastic togo cups are biodegradable. Mine is currently in our compost pile. (I’m going to check it out to see if it truly degrades.) This is also where I bought my pastry for the day. A chocolate chip cookie (naturally). I saved it for Monday and it was soooo good. At times, it’s like I’m running my very own cookie taste test, but there’s no rankings because I end up liking them all.

Next trip in, we’ll have to go on a Saturday so we can get pizza here. (menu pictured above) Hopefully we’ll get back while the weather is nice.
See you tomorrow!
