Hello! Hope you had a nice holiday weekend. While I write this, our contractor is laying red rosin paper down over the kitchen floor, to be followed by masonite, in advance of Wednesday’s demolition. We’re down to the basics in the kitchen: everything else has been packed up and carted off to the basement, or the dining room, or wherever it seemed to fit. My packing followed a typical pattern (for me): started off hyper-organized, with boxes labled, carefully packed, and devolved into tossing stuff into shopping bags and tote bags, as well as putting items on windowsills. Our curb appeal is sorely lacking right now, but it’s definitely interesting …..
We also got some garden work in, as it was warm! Planted more vinca and pachysandra to fill in, bought a white bleeding heart plant and a pink poppy, too. It poured Sunday night, so we picked a great time to put things in the ground.
And how could I forget, there was a holiday weekend soccer tournament, too. The team went 2-1, and just missed a spot in the finals.
