At last, a little stationery news

pine tree | simple pretty

While I don’t have all of the “scoop” that I’d like quite yet from the stationery show, I do have a couple of finds I’d like to pass along. The first is the adorable mailbox correspondence cards from small square design. (click on through: collection/correspondence cards/mailbox) I wish we had a mailbox in our neighborhood that you could walk to and drop in your outgoing mail …. probably one of the more charming things about the USPS, in my opinion. Not much charm in the set-of-four rural boxes we’ve got going.

The second fell into my lap rather fortuitously when I returned from walking the dog, and logged on to Google Reader. (By the way, the photo at the top is of a pine tree I noticed during our walk.) Truly Smitten, a Chicago-based graphic designer, offered up a sneak peek of her custom notecard collection. I still have a thing for silhouettes, and so I really like the first card shown (photo above). But they’re all nice. I look forward to seeing more from Truly Smitten, as I’m ‘smitten” with the website. Can’t wait for the portfolio to launch! So many interesting options, from wedding invitations to gift tags/labels to business identity. Check it out here.

More tomorrow. See you then.

If you by chance read my Carolina Herrera resort 2008 gushing post from yesterday, I deleted it, because the photos were one year old. Oops! Still pretty, just not topical.
