Still waiting on some warm spring weather …. at least the sun is nice and cheery! The photo above was taken close to 6am on Sunday. (Yes, I was up.) The sun was streaming in all of the windows on the front of the house, and I quickly grabbed my camera and started taking pictures. None were ideal upon uploading, but this was close.
Traffic prevented us from going into the city on Sunday. My son vetoed the potential 90 minute + drive, and truth be told, the thought of it didn’t do much for me, either. So we ran errands at a local mall instead.
Saturday morning, I was surfing the internets, and found this project for a table top s’mores grill at ohdeedoh (part of Apartment Therapy, a site I need to spend more time at). I must have s’mores on the brain, because after flipping through the Summertime Anytime cookbook last week, I was immediately drawn to the indoor s’mores recipe. Have to make it soon, and it’s simple. (I know, s’mores weren’t exactly challenging before, but these looked so good!) Assemble the marshmallow/graham part of the s’mores as usual, but dip in melted chocolate. Heavenly. And with the weather still more like March/April, an outdoor fire pit would be the perfect excuse to roast marshmallows.
