I worked myself into a good funk on Sunday. (Don’t ask.) So, my focus for the rest of the week will be to highlight things I’m grateful for in an attempt to deprogram myself.
Today, I am grateful for Foodstuff’s chocolate chip scones. (see photo above) So full of chocolate chips, and the large size is good for at least two breakfasts worth of deliciousness (if I can restrain myself). I have fun pretending to eat a good breakfast, but I know I’m not. It’s basically a triangular chocolate chip cookie. Goes so well with my cafe au lait, too. Foodstuffs is at the Mart now, too! Must go check it out.
I’m extremely grateful that the Archer typeface is now available for sale! (You may know it from Martha Stewart Living magazine.) I’ve been obsessing over its beauty forever, it seems. Now, I’m trying to decide which package to order. This news totally made my day. Thank you Hoefler & Frere-Jones.
The first season of This American Life, the tv show, comes out on dvd today, exclusively at Borders. Ira Glass will be at the Michigan Avenue (Chicago) Borders tonight at 7 pm for a signing. New Yorkers, he’s coming to the Borders at Columbus Circle Thursday at 7pm. I seriously love this man’s voice, and his show. Yep, definitely grateful for Ira Glass’ existence.
Bobbi Brown is going to be on QVC today. More gratitude. Love her makeup philosophy. I find QVC very relaxing (odd, I know). Sometimes I’ll set the bedroom tv to it with the sleep timer and fall asleep listening to people talking and shopping. I’ll be even more grateful when the writers’ strike ends, I think, as this QVC thing is a recent development.
Feeling better already. Stay tuned for more gratitude tomorrow. See you then.
