Something about spring always has me listening to a little less NPR and a little more music. For me, that means Chicago’s 93/XRT and exposure to songs that I missed over the fall and winter. (For just as surely, once September hits, I’m all about NPR again.) Adding new music to my iPod keeps me out there running. Here’s a selection from my May 2007 playlist that guarantees I’ll be running faster than I should. Nevertheless, I enjoy the push:
- When I Wake/The Changes a Chicago band to boot!
- In View/The Tragically Hip
- See the World/Gomez
- Seven Nation Army/The White Stripes
- Young Folks/Peter Bjorn and John (at the Apple store/Michigan Ave today at 2)
- Hate to Say I Told You So/The Hives
By this point in my run, I’m gasping for breath, and the playlist segues into Timbaland and Justin Timberlake – a total change of genre that we’ll save for another day.
What are you listening to?
By the way, today Travis released a new album, The Boy With No Name. Very impressed with the 30-second snippets – I’ll be buying it.
