Things to do/Garden Power

Two interesting events in two different cities caught my eye for this weekend. If you’re in Chicago, this weekend brings the Botanic Garden’s Antiques & Garden Fair. Preview night is tonight, with time of entry linked to your donation. If you’d just like to peruse, the Fair continues Friday and Saturday from 10-7, and Sunday from 10-5. Floral designer Ron Morgan will be giving demonstrations, and when you’ve finished walking the show, stay to visit the garden, certain to be filled with the sights and smells of spring.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Boston (one of my favorite places), I suggest you visit Art in Bloom at the Museum of Fine Arts. From April 21-24, you can enjoy the art and flowers as well as daily special events. My pick would be Master Class: Hands-on Instruction with Winston Flowers ($200 but well worth it). I adore Winston Flowers, and never miss a chance to stop in when I’m in town. I enter the shop, breath in the heavenly aroma, look around, and smile.
