My hair is cheap

My brain has expensive taste: find a magazine with a beauty product article and I will immediately begin to covet the most expensive item. So, whenever bottle reduction kicks into high get, I of course hope that the “best” will remain, and that I will reject the mundane and cheap(er). Try telling that to my hair. Searching for the ultimate shampoo and conditioner, my hair has rejected: Fekkai’s Technician Color Care and Nexxus Therappe. (The Nexxus was a desperation purchase at Target that failed.) Trying to regain some sense of shiny, straight hair, I purchased travel-size bottles of Garnier Fructis (I wasn’t ready to commit to a full-size product.) My hair loved it, and my brain? Heart-broken. Full-size bottles for less than $4? How can it be? My brain continues the search ….
