Force fed a steady diet of magazines over the weekend, I am now a fount of information – most of it unneeded. Here are a few of the gems I uncovered:
- Last week’s New York magazine (the fashion issue, and I received it yesterday) featured food diaries of four people connected to the fashion world. This was a hoot – two of the four subsist on w a t e r. I’m not kidding. Oh wait, I’m sorry, Anne Slowey (editor at Elle) did eat three olives while watching the Super Bowl. Read it at nymag.com, if you dare.
- Savannah, Georgia is the hot travel spot. The current issue of Cottage Living features shops in Savannah and the surrounding Lowcountry. Mary Engelbreit’s magazine will feature Savannah in its April/May issue. As I just returned from a short trip to the area, I’m pleased to be au courant! If you go, be sure to visit @home, and the Paris Market, both on Broughton Street.
- I got my hands on the newest issue of Blueprint, courtesy of a neighbor. I can only wonder if/when my copy will arrive. All in all, I like the mag a lot. I am loving the linkable notebooks from starthereny featured, and have added Camp on Perry as a must-see shop when I get to NYC. Check out Blueprint’s updated website here.
Blueprint is not on newsstands yet, so the updated site most likely will launch on the “on sale” date, which I believe is March 5.
