What happened to fall? This is what my back patio looks like today – and the snow showers haven’t let up yet! Enjoying the moment is challenging for me today, but I’m trying. I fought the urge to cocoon, fired up the Mini and went down to Gale Gand’s new restaurant at the new Westin Hotel in Wheeling, which opened today. Very cute! Took home a turkey/bacon/avocado panini, and some pastry, because I cannot avoid the stuff. (Pain au chocolat? you can’t leave it in the case!) Gale Gand was there as well – odd how tv makes you think you “know” people. I think Gale’s Coffee Bar will be a fun place to add to my take-out repertoire. Definitely not your typical hotel restaurant. And now, back to the heat vent to warm up. (It was 36 degrees outside during my expedition.) Bye!
