The NYTimes SundayStyles had a nice feature yesterday on Rose wines – the hip wine of the summer (although you wonder why they waited until August to tell you about the summer’s hip wine).  There was a nice picture of Sofia Rose to start the article – Domino magazine had featured Sofia earlier this summer as a “hip” wine, and I have had more than my fair share of it.  (and not just I – it has become a very popular wine at the local seller since the Domino article)  However, Sofia is never mentioned in the article.  Domaines Ott, a French Rose also featured in Domino, is the wine of choice.  Either wine would be a nice choice to go with your summer grilled fare. And can I just add, having visited the web site, there is a picture of Sofia Rose, with the caption “Sophia Rose …. named for Sophia Coppola.”  oops!
