Huh?

Earlier this week, the Colbert Report was featured on both Good Morning America and the Today show, due to Rep. Robert Wexler’s (D-Fl) interview.  (Wexler finishes sentences for Stephen Colbert like “I enjoy cocaine because ….” since he is running unopposed and therefore cannot lose – so let’s have some fun.)  Today and GMA wondered aloud why Wexler, or any congressman/woman, would go on the show when they’re likely to be made fools of.  Colbert has a great retort showing the “news” these programs feature.  (an electric blanket eating python, for one) I’m wondering why those shows didn’t prominently feature Colbert’s interview with Lynn Westmoreland (R-Ga) in early June, where the congressman, who introduced legislation asking that the Ten Commandments be displayed in courthouses, couldn’t name the Ten Commandments.  Isn’t that news?  As in the Emperor Has No Clothes (Brains)?  You can catch Stephen’s video at Gawker, or at YouTube.

And as an aside, why oh why is ugly-bubble-skirt Angela, who refuses to sketch, still on Project Runway?
